OPERATION BUILDING HOPE
Modifying veteran homes to have safe, handicap accessible independent living
Home modifications for veterans with disabilities and military children with special needs include, constructing wheelchair ramps and roll-in-showers, widening doorways and lowering cabinets and countertops. Whether the disability is due to war wounds, illness or age, this is a small way we can demonstrate appreciation for their military service to our country.
Do you work for or own a construction or trade business? Consider "adopting" a home modification/renovation project for a disabled veteran by donating your services.
Or, perhaps your social circle has resources to pull together and can "adopt" two new handicap ramps that need built.
There are many ways you can help, and every little bit counts.
MMIA currently has over 30 veterans who are waiting to have their homes be put to livable conditions, but we need your help to make it happen.
On average, the total cost per project is $10,000-$20,000.
Who do you know that can help #AdoptAProject?
