About Us

Military Missions In Action is a North Carolina-founded and focused Veteran non-profit dedicated to assisting veterans in need, members of all Armed Forces, and their loving, supporting families. For the last 15 years, MMIA has provided support through four programs: Home For Healing, provides new and gently used household furnishings and goods to assist Veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and families in need of establishing housing stability; Operation Building Hope, provides handicap ramps and rails to Veterans in need;  Fill The Footlocker has three sub-programs: Care Packages that support deployed servicemembers and military working dog teams by a touch of home through carefully crafted care packages; Homeless Veteran StandDown Events packs and delivers health, hygiene, and sundry items, along with clothing, shoes, and blankets, to unhoused Veterans; and Operation Rescue Christmas that provides the children of active-duty military and Veterans in need with gifts and toys; and Warrior Wagon empowers Veterans by providing a reliable, no-cost, handicap accessible, rideshare service that ensure access to essential appointments and opportunities.

Since 2008, we’ve directly assisted over 130,000 veterans and their families, and we do so by sending 86% of all donations directly to support our programming. We’re able to run the organization, thanks to a dedicated team of committed volunteers.  They are the heart of the organization.
