Thank you for contacting Military Missions In Action (MMIA). Our organization is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting veterans with disabilities to achieve independent living. To qualify for assistance in the program, an applicant must meet all of the following minimum conditions:

Veteran with disability

Needs assistance with handicap accessibility

Owner and Occupant of the home for modification

Financially unable to complete modifications
Enclosed are the Application for Assistance, Homeowner Agreement, and Cost Sharing forms. Please complete the forms and return them to MMIA along with the following documents to the address below:

DD-214 (military discharge papers) or copy of VA identification card (front and back)

Copy of most recent tax return and copies of all non-taxable income

Deed, lien, or insurance certificate of ownership of the home
We cannot assist veterans if they have been dishonorably discharged, assist on rental homes, or assist on homes that are going to be sold.
Once the completed forms are submitted, your application will be reviewed. We reserve the right to request additional information if needed. Please be mindful that the application can take up to 30-45 days to process and that there can be up to a one year waiting period. If all supporting documentation is not turned in, the application process can be delayed. All emergency projects are prioritized based on emergency situations and date application was received.
