Hi everyone! So I’ve been trying to broaden my board and card game collection recently because my friends and I have game nights every weekend. We’re kind of getting tired of playing the same old games. While searching for new ideas, I stumbled across this site: https://www.mirrorreview.com/regional-card-games/. It opened my eyes to the fact that there are so many regional card games out there I never knew about! My problem is, a lot of these games have unfamiliar rules or use different kinds of decks. Can anyone here recommend a few that are easy to learn but still fun and unique? Also, do I need to buy any special cards to play most of these?

Hey! You’re definitely on the right track checking out that article—it’s a goldmine for discovering new regional card games. Many of the games listed there, like Briscola from Italy or Escoba from Spain, can be played using a regular deck of cards or slightly modified ones that you can easily adapt with a standard deck. The article explains the rules pretty clearly too, which helps when you’re trying something new with friends. I’d say give Briscola a try—it’s super fun, strategic, and not too complicated for a game night.
